Delhi FSL has managed to cut its critical case backlog by 72% in just over a year — from 27,585 cases to 7,178. 1. 3.49 lakh exhibits disposed of in the last 12 months 2. POCSO pendency dropped from 800 to just 77 cases 3. POCSO & NDPS reports now being delivered within 15 working days 4. FSL-Delhi can now examine 3,000+ cases every month 5. 6 mobile forensic vans have been commissioned 6. 247 scientific staff recruited to strengthen the system 7. 25 video-conferencing facilities are operational for court depositions 8. A new ₹151.81 crore Regional FSL at Sheikh Sarai is also being planned. Home Minister Ashish Sood reviewed the facilities and functioning of FSL-Delhi as the laboratory continues to expand its manpower, technology and forensic infrastructure.
